The last (literally, last day of the year) 2014 wedding! And it was one of the best ways to celebrate the New Year to come. From the beautiful church, to the decorations and fun balloons, to the awesome bridal party, and to the adorable, affectionate bride and groom...this wedding day could not have gone any smoother or better. Even the windy, cold weather outside didn't stop these two to attempting some outside pictures (trust me, it was SO cold, this bride deserves a medal for going out there). These two absolutely love each other and they were not shy at all about showing it. Their first look was one of the most passionate times I have captured. They did not care at all that two photographers were in the sanctuary clicking away at their cuteness. (I am totally okay with that too)
I have known Maggy since she was in 7th grade as she was one of my students I taught as a student teacher. So crazy to think she has grown up into this beautiful person who has found someone who loves Jesus just as much as her, and who loves to have fun and be silly as much as her or even more. Even though the wedding was the first time I met JJ, the whole day I could see how much he cherishes her and just how important their relationship with God meant to him before anything. Friends and family shared stories of how these two are known for their compassion, kindness and tender hearts for people through their love for Christ and the church. The ceremony was the picture of what they shared and being around them, you couldn't help but smile. The whole evening was a night of celebrating and they could not have picked a better night. Watching their family and friends surround them as the count down to the new year began, filled with noise makers, fun lights and everyone chanting "Happy New Year" while Maggy and JJ shared their first kiss in the 2015 year as husband and wife, was the perfect way to end the new year and start the new.
Thank you Maggy and JJ for sharing your story with me and for being who you are together. Don't ever change and don't ever stop being affectionate in front of people. Thank you to Aubrey of Captured Beauty Photography for being my side kick for the night and taking such fun images at the photo booth of their family and friends. Goodbye to 2014, you were a great year. Hello to 2015 and all the new memories to come.
Special thank you to Lafayette Country Club and all their workers. The reception was beautiful and so much fun. Thank you to the amazing coordinator at ECC church, Ms. Bylithe who made the ceremony run so smooth. The beautiful flowers were done by Mrs. Bosma, the bride's gorgeous, beaded wedding gown from Nancy's Bridal boutique, the hair and make up were done by the fabulous and talented (soon to be mommy) Lauren Mckillip and the yummy cupcakes and stunning cake were done by the local Mammaw's Sweetshop (seriously, if you haven't had one of their cupcakes, just go there right now and get one...completely worth it). Thank you to Extreme Sounds and the DJ Chris who had a great variety in music selection at the reception. Thank you everyone who had a part in making this day magical for these two. It really was a night of celebration!
